Junkstock is a fun way to get into the fall spirit and shop around.

Junkstock is a great seasonal activty and is especially fun during fall. We visited Junkstock during its first weekend. Here’s what happened:

We arrived at Junkstock at 9:00 am on Friday, Oct. 27th. We both have season early bird passes so we were lucky enough to get there before a huge crowd had arrived. The first barn we went into was the Sycamore Farm Barn and the first business that stood out to us was called Ruby. It had homemade headbands, jewelry, hats, keychains and more.

We then made our way to another stand called “Mandy Ellen,” which had beautiful jewelry that was great for special occasions. We walked around the whole barn going in and out of businesses looking at all the things they had but another one stood out to us.

“Hello Ruby” was the next small business that caught out eyes. “Hello Ruby” has woman’s clothes that are very well made and very cute. Both of us got gray sweatshirts that said Sporty Club and Allyson bought a pink quarter zip sweatshirt.

We then went to a stand called “Ember Groove” which had fall decor and Allyson got a candle that was inside a glass pumpkin. We walked around the barn some more and then decided it was time for a break.

We went out the get some food and we stopped at one of the food options they had there called “Heartland Coffee and Nosh.” We both got a delicious nosh bowl and we got a lemonade at a lemonade stand.

After a nice little break we then decided to walk around to some more stands that were just outside. At this point we were kind of hot and tired but we were having a good time and wanted to keep shopping. We decided we needed some caffeine to keep us going so we got a matcha at this cute truck called “Cedar Creek.”

After some caffeine we went into the other smaller barn to keep shopping. After we went to the small barn we went outside to the outdoor stands. One of the stands that stood out to us was the “Homeade Design Co.” It had aesthetic boards that are great for home decor. Another stand was “The Inspiration Haven,” which had bible verses and Christian decor.

Then we got some apple cider donuts that were in front of the Sycamore Farm Barn. After a really exciting day we headed home and we have no regrets on how the day went.

Junkstock is also going on again this weekend. Its Friday, Oct. 4 through Sunday, Oct. 6. It opens at 11:00 unless you have a early bird pass then it starts at 9:00. There will again be food trucks such as Ceder Creek, Heartland Coffee and Nosh, Kona ice, and more. Prices can range all over the place and it especially depends on what business you are at. It should be another great weekend to head out there!
