There are many local pumpkin patches to visit during the festive season

Students of Elkhorn High School are eagerly excited for fall traditions including visiting pumpkin patches.

“My favorite pumpkin patch is Valas because I enjoy the bounce pads and the food,” freshman Kelsie Holder said.

There are a lot of fun activities at Valas that can catch someone’s attention all day. There is also a lot of yummy food there that is enjoyed by all.

“My favorite part is definitely the food because every time I walk by, it smells so good and tastes even better,” freshman Kaylynn Mailloux said.

People do really like the activities and what Valas has to offer but there are also some down sides to this fun pumpkin patch.

“The long lines on some of the rides take forever to get through, ” Holder said.

With the new addition to Valas they are getting more people to come which makes the park busy and have long lines for some of the fan favorites such as Pumpkin Creek Train Ride or Freya’s Egg Spinners.

“It’s so expensive and it’s worth it but not all people can afford it, ” freshman Boston Oster said.

With Valas becoming so popular they are able to bump their prices up which can make it a second option to other pumpkin patches.

“The Bellevue Berry Farm is my favorite because I just go there to mess around with people,” junior Isaiah Weasel said.

There are some good alternatives to a busy pumpkin patch especially if one wants something lowkey the Bellevue Berry Farm is perfect.

“It is affordable and I have a lot of fun there when I go with all my friends and there are not a ton of other people,” Weasel said.

At the Bellevue berry farm one can have a lot of fun for a cheaper price instead of Valas.  There is less to do there which is a downfall, but it is still a lot of fun.

“Skinny bones is my favorite because it is cheaper and closer than the others,” junior Parker Stevens said.

Skinny bones is another good alternative with some really fun activities for a more affordable price. People can have fun at all of the pumpkin patches; it just varies on what one is looking to do during this fall season.

“A pumpkin patch is the best activity to do in the fall,” Stevens said.
