Every year as the clock comes close to midnight on December 31st, students at Elkhorn High are prepared for the new era and the advanced version of themselves they will create during the new year. Students are ready to be more productive and have a better attitude towards life. Many students are ready to have a better second semester of school.
“My new year’s resolution is to be more productive while studying,” sophomore Madison Otto said.
Most of the students said that they want to have better grades and have a successful second semester. Making sure you are fully engaged in what you are learning is a very important factor to have while studying.
To achieve this goal you need to start thinking ahead and be prepared. Students have different approaches to achieving their new year’s resolutions. Being more organized and having a schedule is an impactful way to be more successful.
“I’m gonna write my schedule in my notebook and what time I’m gonna study from,” sophomore Peyton Bartlett said.
Not everyone was thinking just about school. Some students had thought that being financially responsible was the way to go for 2025. Saving money is a great goal to have for the new year.
“My new year’s resolution is to get more money and be a better saver,” sophomore Laya Moody said.
Being a smart spender and taking control of your money for the future was a popular new year’s resolution. This goal is a great way to become more responsible in the future.
The students at Elkhorn High are ready to have a productive and successful new year. Being prepared and planning out your goals is setting yourself up for success. The new year is a great way to develop good habits.
“I wanna be more productive with my time,” sophomore Bailey Ferguson said, “I am hoping to create better habits for myself.”
