Elkhorn High School’s musical director has finally announced the highly anticipated spring musical.

During a typical school year, musical season is the fall and opening night is the first week of November. Due to a significant change of circumstances, the musical was pushed off to the spring.
Thompson, EHS’s musical director, taunted those interested in the musical google classroom saying “For those getting excited about the upcoming musical announcement, I’ve decided to share a clue: Yes, the musical is older than you. It is also (slightly) older than me ;),” as well as a “colorful clue… to make you think.”
Students were able to figure out the musical just based off the color block above, and that they determined the correlation from the famous phrase: “The cow as white as milk, the cape as red as blood, the hair as yellow as corn and the slipper as pure as gold.”
If you are interested in auditioning for the musical, please save the following dates- these of which should have been shared with the students’ parents that are a part of the google classroom.
Week of February 15th: Auditions
Week of February 22nd: Read Through
Week of March 1st: Solo/Small Group rehearsals
*this is also the week of the Spring Play, may have to work around*
Week of March 8th: Choir Concert(s) & Musical Rehearsals
Week of March 15th (Spring Break): Individual assignments for musical cast members
Week of March 22nd (Remote Week): Musical Rehearsals TBD
March 29th – April 28th: Regular Musical Rehearsals + Tech and/or Dress Rehearsals
April 28th – May 2nd: Musical Performances
Students and staff, alike, can not wait for what the EHS music program brings to the stage this spring.
