The Baxter Arena was anything but quiet April 4th as Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, better known as Logic, entertained hundreds of adoring fans. From the minute he strut onto the stage up until he closed the show with thunderous applause and chants of his name, the Emmy nominated rapper had all eyes on him.

The day of the concert I was scrambling to find last minute tickets and luckily did thanks to a friend. I started crying when I received them because I was so ecstatic to go. I went to the concert with two friends, but I saw plenty more people I knew at the event. Everyone was anticipating the start of the concert with excitement.

Songs played included his award winning ‘1-800-273-8255’ that spread suicide awareness for millions across the world and ‘Take It Back’ that gives an insight on his difficult life growing up as a mixed child.  With every word filled with meaning and passion the songs connected to audience members going through the same struggles he was. His music wasn’t just meaningless noise to make it big and make millions, but to show his true story and his attempt to help others experiencing hard times.

While the opening act was a disappointment it was quickly forgotten as an energy took over the stage as ‘44 More’ came on and Logic began to rap. The audience ranged everywhere from 12 years old to 20 year olds on crutches. Everyone came together for the night to spread his famous motto: ‘Peace Love and Positivity’.

The stage was filled with energy as Logic crossed back and forth, engaging his audience every step of the way.  The personal connections Logic makes with his audience throughout the show truly brings the experience altogether. For example, he spoke directly to his fans and stopped the show to bring up one person who was on crutches in order to comfortably watch the show. His authentic kindness towards his fans made his already amazing music sound even better live. The concert was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone and everyone the next time Logic comes to town.

It seemed that the audience never wanted the concert to end and afterwards I was feeling a mix of disbelief and awe because the concert was so amazing. I was exhausted and definitely had a concert hangover coming the next morning along with post-concert withdrawal. Despite the exhaustion,

it was 100% worth it.
