Girls Golf Plays Well In First Dual Of The Season

The EHS girls golf team is dressed for success this season. The team is coached by Ben Meyer.

The Elkhorn High girls golf team kicked off their season at Crooked Creek Golf Course against Waverly, August 26.  Waverly beat the Antlers 209-193.  Junior Alexa Swerczek shot a 43 to place second overall, with Junior Katie Shultz placed third, shooting a 49. 

 “I think the girls shot well, got better from the first time they went out, and even some new girls got some experience that was much needed,” Coach Ben Meyer said. “Overall it was a good day.”

Coach Meyer said he was loking for imporvment in the team as they  head into the season.

“Just seeing them compete and see them get better as the season goes on,” Meyers said. 

The next dual for the EHS team will be on August 31st aganist Gretna at Tiburon Golf Course.
