Benji Hoegh announced in a meeting with team members Friday morning that he is resigning from the head coach position for the Elkhorn High School Boys Basketball Program.

Per multiple sources, this decision was made due to Hoegh being hired as the West Dodge Station Elementary principal.

There are two remaining coaches currently in the program: Travis Thompson (Varsity Assistant) and Calvin Thompson (Soon to be JV Coach). Former JV Head Coach James Rosenbaum resigned a few months ago leaving the program with a couple of open staff positions.

The district has indicated there is no timeline yet for choosing a new coach.

This is a developing story.  Check back for further updates.
