A Fight Till the End

Elkhorn High’s boys Soccer wraps up their season

Overall the boys varsity soccer team finished the season with a 9-7 record. The boys had a rough season with tough competitors such as Elkhorn North and Bennington,  however the boys also had numerous wins against teams such as Norris, Waverly, Beatrice and Gross.

The boys team finished out the season with a 13th place ranking in Nebraska class B. Their season sadly ended with a close game against Lexington with a 1-2 loss. The devastating loss kept the boys from playing in state. The boys team had many ups and down throughout the season but overall the team is dedicated and hard working.

“When the season starts every player is committed to the team and will give everything for the team. Since the soccer team is at school from 8am to 6pm, the players gain a lot of good chemistry with each other with the amount of time we spend with one another. We become a family in season” soccer captain Caleb Kimmell said.

Throughout the season all the boys grow close to one another and build eachother up throughout every practice and game. The culture within the boys soccer team continues to grow in a positive direction. Each and every player is not only committed to the sport but to also just being a part of the team.
