FBLA is a well known club with an awesome opportunity coming up. They are having their fall leadership conference on September 25th.
“FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America, and it’s a great way to get involved with the school because it helps you with being involved in your community and with more business careers and what they all have to offer,” business teacher and sponsor of FBLA, Mrs. Barry said.
FBLA is a club students can join no matter what grade and has amazing ways to get your name out there with business and future careers.
“The fall leadership event is at Wayne state, and you can expect to learn more about what FBLA does throughout the year and what to expect at state in the spring of 2025,” sophomore Quinn Westerhaus said.
The conference is not only an introduction but also benefits the leadership of the members which can help their future.
“We have our officer team and then we take four other members so nine students get to go to the conference,” Barry said.
The conference does only allow a certain number of students to go, which makes it feel special to the members and can really benefit the Elkhorn High School community if there is strong leadership.
“FBLA’s plans after the conference are working on ribbon projects that have to do with the “go green” project, which is picking up trash and recycling, as well as having the canned food drive between Thanksgiving and holiday break and preparing for the state leadership conference,” Barry said.
