Going into life navigating expectations, discovering identities, and searching for social lives are aspects of growing up, all teenagers go through these challenges on a daily basis. Elkhorn High decided to display a show that all people can relate to.

Elkhorn High School is putting on the play “The Searchers,” from Thursday to Saturday at 7:00pm.

The play is free, but Elkhorn high will accept donations at the door to help with expenses.

“The Searchers” is a play about 3 teenagers dealing with traumatic events, and figuring out their identities, social lifes, and new expectations in life. Finding their purpose and connections throughout the world by sharing their experiences.

The play represents kids learning to navigate their life through challenges that which an everyday person goes through.

There are 23 students involved in cast at Elkhorn High School, who are also involved in many other clubs and activities.

In particular, seniors have really taken charge of the play and have displayed amazing leadership in the midst of everything else they have going on with graduation, AP exams, and finals, among other activities.

Phoenix Erwin, who is student directing and in the cast, Parker McGaughey and Georgia Chyczy stage managing, Brylee Grof doing spotlight and publicity, Jackson Scott helping with sound and in the cast, and finally Ella Bartunek and Nate Rasmussen who are both in the cast.

The play will conclude the successful productions that these seniors have put on at Elkhorn High. As their last show, it will represent their effort and success they have put into these shows at Elkhorn High over the past 4 years.
