Fans of the Jonas Brothers wouldn’t change a thing about the opening night of the band’s 20th anniversary tour. On August 10, 2025, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas joined voices for a surprise performance singing the two most popular songs, “This is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing,” from the popular movie franchise “Camp Rock.”

Lovato and Joe Jonas play the two main characters of the movies, Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray. The performance shocked the world and made fans wonder if it could be hinting at a new project, or even a third Camp Rock movie.

“I saw the performance all over TikTok and I definitely think this could lead to another movie,”sophomore Kelsie Holder said.

The duet reminded the audience of the amazing chemistry that they expressed in the movies nearly fifteen years ago. Their onstage performance was a huge full circle moment for fans of the movie, but also left them wanting to see more of the two.

“I would love to see another “Camp Rock” movie because it reminds me of my childhood,” Holder said.

Camp Rock is a two movie franchise that brings nostalgia to many people both young and old. The first movie being released in 2008 under the title, “Camp Rock.” Many eager viewers wanted a sequel which was eventually released in 2010 called “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.”

These movies are iconic to the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) name, and set an example for future Disney movies to come. The original “Camp Rock” was recognized as the second most viewed DCOM in the year it was released. Although many people thoroughly enjoyed both movies, many people feel as if the series is not complete. Suspicions of  a third movie have been circulating because of Disney’s history of rebooting older projects and a performance including two of the main characters of the show.

Following this performance, many fans wondered if all of this could be hinting a Camp Rock 3, and the majority seems to think so.

The nostalgia that these movies bring are a huge reason why the suspicions of a third movie took off.

“I would love to see a Camp Rock 3 because it would make everyone happy,” sophomore Maddie Mitchell said.
