Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty released its first two episodes July 16th. Since then, one episode has been released every Wednesday. There have been seven episodes so far and there are four more coming out before the finale, which will be released September 17th. Fans are looking forward to it.
The first seven episodes include the main character, Belly Conklin navigating a relationship with family friend Jeremiah Fisher. Jeremiah’s brother, Conrad, used to be in a relationship with Belly before Jeremiah was, and some fans want them back together. Jeremiah and Belly are newly engaged this season with the wedding coming up in later episodes.
Sophomore Kelsie Holder said she really enjoyed episode five because she could really understand what was going on in Conrad’s head and really connect his actions to his internal dialogue, which is insight the fans usually do not get.
“My favorite episode in season three has been episode five,” Holder said. “I liked it because it was in Conrad’s point of view and we really got to see what he was thinking.”
Season one and two both grabbed a lot of people’s attention and were popular, but season three is by far the most intriguing season for viewers. Junior Kaiya Gilbert said she is enjoying season three more than the previous seasons, especially because of the new system they are doing with the release dates. The concept of waiting a whole week to see how the story will continue, is keeping viewers very interested.
Gilbert says, “Season three is definitely more entertaining than seasons one and two because the cliffhangers every episode really leave me wanting more,” junior Gilbert said.
Sophomore Kaylynn Mallouix says, “I am excited to see how they wrap up season three and see if they follow the book’s storyline or if there is a different ending,” Mallouix said.
