Bring on Ghost Face. The seventh movie of the Scream franchise came out on February 27th, 2026. Scream is a horror series that started in 1996 about a woman named Sidney Prescott and killers with ghost faces trying to murder her. It is produced by director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson.
Scream 7 takes place in Pine Grove, Indiana and is about Sidney Prescott’s new life in a new town with her husband and teenage daughter. Despite a new location, the ghost faces are not about to leave Sidney or her family alone. They now are out to kill her daughter, Tatum.
I watched the movie in theaters the day it came out and although I’ve only seen Scream 1, 2, 3, I thought that Scream 7 was very good and everything made sense. I loved the actors that appeared in the film such as Mckenna Grace and Mark Consuelos. My favorite actor was Anna Camp who is known for role in Pitch Perfect.
Throughout the movie I had many wrong guesses about who the killer was, but towards the end of the movie I guessed one of the killers correctly. The other ghost face which I did not guess correctly was a big surprise to me but he didn’t do much in the movie or previous movies. The two killers were a mental hospital orderly, played by Ethan Embry, and Jessica Bowden, the Prescott’s obsessed neighbor, played by Anna Camp.
The Scream movies are full of thrill and fun, however things that can be learned from them include the fact that trauma can be passed down throughout generations and that strength and courage are very important in tough situations. Sidney, her family, and friends showed this all throughout Scream 7.
I recommend this movie for horror film lovers and people who love the thrill. Scream 7 is rated R, so it is recommended for 18+. I thought the movie was a 9/10.
